Dan Feather, aka "Vapor", died today after he lost control of his motorcycle. Dan was remarkable for his quiet decency. There were many reasons to like him, but above all else, he was a good man.
Goodbye, friend. You leave behind many people who held you in high regard.

I don't know Dan's web hosting arrangements, so I mirrored his personal website at vapor.honeypot.net. I know it's cheesy and maybe I'm the only person who will ever see it, but it makes me feel better to know that his last words about the things that mattered to him will stay around.

I worked with Dan and he was a close friend of mine. He sat at my table with my wife and children on quite a few occasions. he will be missed for both his big heart and his great mind. Ed Mueler is the host for his site and was with him when he had his accident so I would think that he will keep his site up for a while. As for services they will be held at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage. Visitation is 6-8pm Wednesday and the funeral is at 2pm Thursday. Thank you for your kind words. Dan will surely be missed.
